Timetable 01 May - 16 September 2018
I am teaching my usual classes in St Peters Community Hall as below plus a class on Saturday morning at Vale Church BLNR.
Drop in to all the classes: no need to book.
Please be considerate and arrive at least 5 mins before the class is due to start to ensure you are settled in a space before the class starts - this will ensure you do not disturb/annoy the other students by coming in late.
My last class this term will be on Sunday 16 September at St Peters; then I'll be in South Africa so please look at the cover timetable to check which classes are running. I will be back for brief visits when I'll be teaching to give my cover a well earned rest!
St Peters (Community Hall)
Tuesday 9:30 - 10:50 am Prana Flow
Wednesday 6 - 7:20 pm Prana Flow
Thursday 9:30 - 10:50 am Prana Flow
Sunday 10 - 11:20am Prana Vinyasa (Power Yoga)
Saturday 10:30 - 11:50am Prana Flow
Everyone is welcome to join us regardless of physical ability, age and experience: the classes vary in content and pace, so it is important to choose a class to suit you. Please ask if you need advice.
All the classes include a mixture of strengthening, toning, and stretching asanas; improving muscle flexibility is only one of the functions of asana practice. Active stretching, among other benefits, improves your mind/body connection, alignment of your joints and your mental focus. Improved focus in turn helps to identify and correct imbalances.
Prana Flow classes are suitable for all levels of fitness and experience. They are 'yin' in nature, ie slow and meditative, so are ideal if you are just learning, or simply want a relaxing practice.
Prana Yinyasa (Power Yoga) is 'yang' in nature so is a much stronger physical practice. You do not need to be experienced, as everyone works to their own level, but you do need to be reasonably fit and familiar with the poses.
