Yoga has been used for centuries as a peaceful way to rejuvenate the entire body and restore well being.
A Prana Flow class is a wonderful stretching and toning class so is ideal if you are a newcomer to yoga, fatigued or stressed, or simply want a slower less strenuous practice: you will find yourself moving gracefully and to the rhythm of beautiful music with your breath guiding you.
The class starts with pranayama and gentle warm ups, gradually builds up to some stronger standing and balancing poses, then forward and back bends, simple inversions, and finishes with relaxation and meditation, leaving you calm and balanced.
Prana is life force found in the physical body. When we have good amounts of prana flowing through us in the right way, we feel well on a mental, emotional and physical level. But sometimes prana may become 'stuck', in shoulders or hips or in areas where tension is held, and cause blockages which make us feel low: this class is designed to mobilise it again.
Anyone can attend any Prana Flow class - there will be different variations to the poses so you can adapt them to your personal experience and needs - but Tuesday is the most suitable for total Beginners.
