I have been a teacher all my adult life, and have brought my classroom expertise into the Yoga studio.
I trained in Hatha yoga with the “British Wheel of Yoga” and then in the Ashtanga tradition with “Africa Yoga”, Iyengar yoga with David Jacobs, and Yoga Synergy with Simon Borg-Olivier. I then dived deeper into the world of Wellness by completing a program in Holistic Medicine.
I have worked with many renowned and inspiring teachers, in various yoga traditions, nationally and internationally; all of which has allowed my practice and teaching to deepen and evolve to match the needs of my students.
My training in traditional and contemporary yoga systems continue to inform my teaching, creating a dynamic blend of carefully sequenced Yoga Flow choreographed to inspirational music.
I have drawn from all of my experiences to create classes that are unique and that will best serve the amazing people practicing at any given moment. Through my studies I have developed a strong interest in how linking the flow of breath and body uncovers deepening layers of self-awareness and generates calm.
As a scientist I pay particular attention to the affects of yoga on the physical body; my scientific background and understanding of the physiology and anatomy of each pose gives me an important insight into the physiological and psychological effects of yoga, and provides a sound basis by which to ensure the practice is beneficial and safe for each student.
