Which class to choose?
Everyone is welcome to join us regardless of physical ability, age and experience.
Our aim is to promote well being, physically and mentally, by reducing the effects of stress and encouraging free movement in the body. All classes will help to balance muscles, build strength and stamina, encourage flexibility, and maintain better overall health, both physically and mentally.
However, the classes vary in content and pace, so it is important to choose a class to suit you: please contact me if you need advice especially if you are new to yoga or are not 100% fit.
* Prana Flow class focuses on flowing postures and stretches to release tension, improve flexibility and balance body/mind. It is ideal if you want a less strenuous more meditative practice or are less experienced and prefer working slowly (suitable for all levels); Tuesday is the gentlest class.
* Vinyasa Flow (all levels except Beginners) is a little more challenging than Prana Flow with more poses in the sequencing; suitable for students with a regular yoga practice.
* Power Yoga (intermediate level) focuses on dynamic flow and deep stretches to build strength and stamina. It is 'yang' in nature, faster and more physically challenging than Prana Flow: you need to be reasonably fit, familiar with the asanas and confident in your practice.
* Beginners and students with reduced mobility - there is no dedicated class; contact me to discuss which class would be best for you.
* Private tuition is available by appointment. These classes are to prepare you for a group class and/or to work on specific poses which challenge you in your practice. Max 4 students.
